A behavioral consultation conducted by both Kaulike K9, LLC head trainers (Makana & Ashley), is required before enrolling in any services; as we aim to provide you and your dog with the training package or program that will set you and your dog up for the most success possible, and will adhere to your needs and goals.

We will run a 30 to 45-minute assessment with you and your dog, and address any questions, concerns, or needs that you may have for you or your pup, and help you find the right fit for service(s).

Please let us know about any known behavioral issues and/or bite history, human or animal aggression, on your registration forms prior to your scheduled appointment. Our utmost goal is the safety of all parties involved, and we can only help to our fullest abilities if we have full honesty upfront - mahalo for your understanding!

Whether you’re looking for help with your loose leash walking, need tips with continued obedience, or searching for a more effective way to communicate with your dog(s), our private (1-on-1) sessions help us work in a more one-on-one way with you and your dog, so that we can help to formulate a personalized and successful training plan.

Private Sessions can include, but are not limited to:

-Initial evaluations of canine’s behavior(s).

-Tool recommendation and marker systems.

-State of mind theory, and communication and relationship building techniques.

-Crate and/or potty training.

-Obedience refreshers.

-Engagement and “yes” work.

-Leash manners and handling basics.

-Introductions into canine psychology and behavior.

-Working through problem behaviors like counter surfing, excessive barking, food scavenging.

-Moderate to major behavioral issues such as biting, aggression and/or aggressive tendencies, resource guarding, reactivity, generalized anxiety, etc.

Private sessions are scheduled with both head trainers, Ashley & Makana, present - so you’re able to have double the amount of professional help within a session. No consultation required for ala carte private sessions, however, please be advised that private (1-on-1) sessions scheduled without a prior consultation, may go over an 1-hour time period and will be charged accordingly.

Owners that have dogs with more serious and severe behavioral issues, please note prices are subject to change, with any dog that displays aggressive type behaviors, as well as location to travel.

A COMPLIMENTARY SLIP LEASH WILL BE GIVEN TO ANY CLIENT WHO PURCHASES A PACKAGED PROGRAM. HOWEVER, ANY OTHER TOOLS LIKE E-COLLAR UNITS, PLACE BOARD (COTS), PRONG COLLARS, AND ENRICHMENT ITEMS ARE SOLD SEPARATELY AND ARE NOT INCLUDED IN PACKAGES/PROGRAMS!

Is your dog reactive to other dogs? Do they chase skateboards or cars? Do they need to work on more proper socialization and exposure with the world around them? Our day trains are our way of “training while you’re away,” - we use day trains to supplement training and to work on certain behaviors in a more one-on-one, hands-on environment.

Each dog is assigned to a specific trainer for that day (4-hour session), and that trainer will pick up the dog(s) from your home, and return them to you after the day train is complete. During their time with us, we will run the dogs through real world exposure training, proper socialization & neutrality work, rules & boundaries, obedience, and activities during a shorter, more digestible day. We will also have a short session with you (the owner) at time of drop-off, so that we can go over the things that we worked on during our time spent with your dog.

Pricing dependent and subject to change based on temperament of canine & location.

Accessible and personalized training for owners who want to work on their dogs’ needs and behaviors from the comfort of their own home. An ideal option for if you live outside of O’ahu, or just need extra human coaching outside of a normal private (1-on-1) session, we offer virtual & phone coaching sessions for owners.

An initial virtual consultation is required prior to booking continued virtual coaching sessions. Coaching sessions may be held over Discord, Zoom, or FaceTime. Not suitable for all major behavior rehabilitation cases.

Our puppy jumpstart program, for everything that you and your dog need to get started off on the right foot! Our Holoholo Pack Outings are Tuesday-Friday (7am-5pm) excursions that we offer to the clients and dogs who have completed a training program or basic training with us. Our Pack Outings are meant to serve as maintenance/supplemental training for dogs and clients that have worked with us previously.

Outings and activities may include, but are not limited to, beach days, hikes, residential walks, and structured playtime, where we practice leash manners and basic obedience skills in a pack walking setting.

Just like with our Holoholo Pack Outings, Hapa Day Outings offer the same benefits of getting your dog out and exercised in a more structured setting, while in the care of their trainer(s) - but in a shorter format (7:30am-1pm). Ideal for our more senior, brachycephalic breed, and less social pack members.

*Full/half day options include pick-up and drop-off service to and from your residence, so please ask us about key & entry options, for your convenience!
